3. Utilise new technologies
Social monitoring tools such as Hootsuite and Tweetdeck are free to use, so make the most of them. By following brand mentions and hashtags, you can get an insight into the effectiveness of your branding and how your business is perceived by customers, as well as identify and deal with any problems being discussed in the public domain and also keep an eye on what’s happening in your industry.
4. Keep your brand conversation going
Thanks to the Internet, it’s never been easier to create content and remain relevant by giving people a reason to talk about your brand. But as well as writing your own news stories and blog posts, it’s important to share content from other businesses in your industry, as they’ll see your support and will be more likely to return the favour.
5. Practice your brand elevator pitch
In a highly competitive, fast-paced marketplace it’s vital that you create a short bio to describe exactly what it is your business does. Your bio should be concise, compelling and on brand so that it can be used anywhere to attract customers, open doors and drive positive recognition.
