Burt’s Blue Cheese, winner of the ‘Observer Good Food’ award approached us to design a Label for their new product ‘Drunken Burt’. It’s their proven blue cheese formula with a delicious cider twist.
Consumers spend on average only a few seconds scanning the shelves when browsing for food products. We wanted to create a design that would really separate itself from the competition and create a sense of intrigue. To achieve this we took a quirky approach to the design- a hybrid of the classic etched illustration style and surreal imagery. It is really brought to life by the unusual salmon pink colour scheme- the result is certainly impossible to ignore.
